As well as metal polishing -
here at Professional Motorcycle Polishing we do powder
coating if needed. Kerbmarks and the like are
removed, then chemically dipped to remove original
coating then sandblasted and powder coated.
In the
powder coating process- electrically charged powder is sprayed via high
voltage to the grounded work piece ie:- wheel
The
coated part is then placed in an industrial oven to
approx 200 degrees centigrade where the powder melts and
fuses to the wheel.
Powder coating is very
durable, highly scratch resistant and stronger than
liquid paint - and contains no solvents so is environmently
friendly. |
